What you’ll do

This role is part of the Vodafone Field Engineering team, supporting the installation and maintenance of fixed and mobile networks. It involves regular climbing of towers and rooftop sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality standards, and performance targets. The role requires flexibility for travel and shift work, including a 24/7 callout rota, and is physically demanding, involving lifting, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors.

  • Install, commission, and maintain the Vodafone network, products, and services to agreed standards and service levels, ensuring safe working practices are always upheld.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes and procedures in order to deliver operational excellence for our customers.
  • Follow our Vodafone HSE Absolute Rules, without exception.
Who you are
  • Have a formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.
  • Have experience in service provision, fault diagnosis, and resolution across a range of telecommunications technologies, including multi vendor CPE (e.g., Cisco, Juniper and ADVA), core transmission technologies like DWDM and Ethernet, mobile networks (3G/4G/5G), microwave radio, switching and DC power systems, as well as fibre and copper cabling and termination.
  • Have the ability to manage your workload effectively and work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Hold a valid full UK/EU driving license (Category

    B).
  • Have the ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification and passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance.
