Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Test Engineer to contribute to complex aerospace integration and validation programmes. This position involves working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment to support ground and flight-based verification activities across critical aircraft systems. The role offers exposure to cutting‑edge testing methodologies, data‑driven engineering, and fast‑paced operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute system‑level validation activities across mechanical and fluid‑based aircraft subsystems within a live engineering environment.
  • Support the end‑to‑end lifecycle of airborne test campaigns, including preparation, configuration verification, and active participation during test operations.
  • Generate comprehensive and well‑structured technical documentation, capturing test results, observations, and engineering insights.
  • Analyse large datasets obtained from testing activities, applying statistical techniques and engineering judgement to interpret system behaviours.
  • Investigate anomalies identified during testing, contributing to structured troubleshooting processes and supporting root‑cause investigations.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including design, operations, and validation specialists, to communicate technical findings and propose solutions.
  • Operate efficiently under tight deadlines, adapting to shifting priorities within a dynamic project environment.
  • Continuously adopt new tools, digital capabilities, and engineering approaches to enhance testing efficiency and output quality.
Skills
  • Strong foundational knowledge of aerospace systems and their operational principles.
  • Ability to quickly understand and adopt new tools, workflows, and internally developed systems.
  • Resilience and adaptability when working in high‑pressure, delivery‑focused environments.
  • Advanced data manipulation and analysis capability, particularly using Microsoft Excel.
  • Clear and precise technical communication skills, with a focus on structured reporting.
  • Analytical mindset with exposure to data processing techniques such as signal analysis and mathematical modelling.
  • Programming capability (e.g. Python or similar) for automation, data handling, or analysis is advantageous.
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience within an aerospace or high‑integrity engineering environment.
  • Involvement in system verification, validation, or performance testing activities.
  • Background in processing, interpreting, and reporting on engineering data.
  • Practical experience in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, or investigative engineering tasks.
  • Exposure to integrated system testing or operational test environments is beneficial but not essential.
