Estimator Permanent  Benefits Ballymena Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Ballymena, who are currently recruiting an Estimator to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities Preparation of tender/enquiry review pack to help inform bid/no bid decisions. Ability to read & review schematics & designs prior to completing any take off. Complete mechanical take offs from schematics & 3-D designs and collate into material & labour costs. Liaise with commercial team to analyse labour requirements for each project and pull together associated costs for review.

Obtain & review specialist supplier & sub-contractors quotes. To attend site meetings alongside design engineers & contracts managers as required both pre & post contract award. Prepare handover pack & attend internal post award meetings for successful projects to discuss and review breakdown of estimate with delivery team. Quantity take-off, BOQ preparation and unit rate buildups. Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction related degree or equivalent experience. Ability to interpret drawings and engineering information. Effective project management skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations. Experience in achieving/exceeding business objectives. Strong programme management experience in managing customer programmes from tender stage to delivery. Desirable Criteria 35 years experience in a relevant discipline. Experience in the design, manufacture and use of precast concrete products in civil/structural applications.
