About the Role

We are a small, collaborative lighting design and environmental assessment team based in Bristol, working across a wide range of projects including commercial, residential, public realm, and infrastructure schemes. We are looking for a motivated graduate or junior professional to support our designers in delivering creative, compliant, and technically robust lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of lighting designs, layouts, and calculations using industry software (e.g. Dialux, Relux).
  • Support the production of reports, drawings, and technical documentation for planning and design stages.
  • Contribute to lighting impact assessments (e.g. external obtrusive light, ecology, dark skies).
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and data collection.
  • Help coordinate with architects, engineers, and planning teams.
  • Maintain project records and assist with general project administration.
Requirements
  • Degree (or working towards) in lighting design, architecture, engineering, environmental design, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of lighting principles and relevant standards/guidance (e.g. CIBSE, ILP).
  • Familiarity with CAD and/or lighting software (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and good written communication skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and willing to learn in a small team environment.
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential).
