We are looking for a motivated and experienced Civil Engineers to work on the design of nuclear powerplants, as well as our future pipeline of projects. You will provide your civil expertise to successfully deliver our projects, in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders and our project teams.
The key responsibilities will include a selection of the following points, depending on your technical experience and the position you take within our team:
- Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
- Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to support contractor activities on site.
- Conduct and review analysis of structures carried out in FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).
- Provide technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and review detailing models and drawings.
- Provide expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Supporting the business development team during the tendering process for our future project stream.
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Bachelor's or master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered with the ICE, IStruct
E, or with equivalent experience. - Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
- Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
- Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standard, and ETC-C the applicable code).
- Proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
- Agile and self-motivated, with a focus on improving personal and team performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects and can demonstrate ability to deliver high quality work packages to schedule.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry based in the UK, e.g. nuclear.
The following experience is also beneficial:
- Programming skills in one or several languages are a plus.
- Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
