Job Overview
We are looking for motivated and forward-thinking Civil Engineers to work on the design of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear powerplants, as well as our future pipeline of projects. You will apply your engineering and problem‑solving skills to successfully deliver our projects in collaboration with clients, contractors, stakeholders and our project teams.
Responsibilities- Learn and complete structural design of new build nuclear structures, including for accidental situations such as seismic and blast.
- Perform analysis of structures within commercial FEM packages.
- Coordinate and communicate on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
- Provide analysis and respond to queries originating from construction sites.
- Coordinate the transfer of design information to reinforcement detailers.
- Develop strong relationships and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
Open to candidates with less than 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements) who are currently studying or have obtained their degree no earlier than 2026.
Qualifications- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Passionate about working in the engineering and nuclear industries.
- Proactive and able to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
- Agile, self‑motivated, focused on improving personal and team performance, and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges.
- Enjoys new challenges and is keen to learn.
- Willing to take responsibility whilst supporting others within the team.
- Programming skills in one or several languages.
- Experience in the use of structural FEM software during studies.
- Graduate starting salary of £33,000 with an annual bonus scheme.
- Holiday allowance of 28 days plus bank holidays.
