Senior Transport Planner

Bristol Transport Full Time, Permanent

We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to support all aspects of development planning project work through the entire development cycle – from site selection and due diligence, through appraisal, planning, design, and implementation. You will prepare Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Traffic Management Plans, Parking Strategies, Sustainable Transport / Active Travel plans, and input to Environmental Impact Assessments. Responsibilities also include junction modelling (Junctions 11 and Lin Sig), input to S106 negotiations, liaison with local highway authorities, and other tasks as required.

• A degree in a related subject (a master’s degree in transport would be desirable)
• Knowledge of policy and guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 etc.
• Experience using the TRICS database
• Setting up and running of junction modelling software, including Junctions 11
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaboration with clients, project teams, highways officers and community members is essential
