Senior​/Principal Civil and Structural Design Engineer

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Rates £40 - 75ph UMB
Location: Bristol
Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9:00‑5:30 pm (Hybrid Working Available)

• Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
• Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment to support contractor activities on site.
• Conducting and reviewing analysis of structures carried out in FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).
• Providing technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and reviewing detailing models and drawings.
• Providing expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
• Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting the business development team during the tendering process for our future project stream.

• Bachelor's or master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered with the ICE, IStructE, or with equivalent experience.
• Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software – FEA, Python, Ansys.
• Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
• Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes, British Standard, and ETC‑C the applicable code).
• Programming skills in one or several languages.
