The Mid-West PSI Structures BIM Team are looking for an assistant BIM Designer to join our dynamic and innovative team. We work on a variety of exciting projects in aviation, health care, data centres, education, commercial, industrial, rail and sport, both in the UK and internationally.
The role would ideally be based in the Cardiff Office, within our Mid-West geography, which includes offices in Birmingham, Bristol and Nottingham. For the right candidate, consideration may also be given to basing the role in the Bristol Office. The role reports to the Group BIM Manager and will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with the Project Manager, BIM Manager, and discipline Engineers to define deliverables, schedules, and implement high‑quality Building Information Models.

Responsibilities- Setting up new project models in accordance with project standards.
- Supporting the project team with technical delivery using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Producing structural models and drawings.
- Engaging with other members of the team to support the development of the group.
- Attendance to both internal and external coordination meetings (when required).
- Contributing to the development of digital workflows.
- Level 4 (HNC) in an Engineering, Construction, Management, or Architecture related field (or be about to achieve the qualification).
- Be prepared to work towards and achieve the qualification (Eng Tech) for the discipline.
- Some level of experience within a structural/civil engineering consultancy (preferred).
- Understanding of model and drawing production using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Preparation of drawings and models with guidance from Engineers.
- Ability to balance technician resources against project requirements.
- Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks (essential).
- Autodesk Forma, Solibri and Revizto (desirable).
