Position: ME Industrial Leader for Supplier Support

Overview

Industrial System Support for Suppliers (OMS department) ensures the industrialisation of our suppliers to meet the expected performance targets for all programs: SA, A220, LR, A350, A400M.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical Manufacturing Engineering support to suppliers across serial programmes and for the next aircraft generation.
  • Manage New Product Introduction and Transfer of Work projects.
  • Develop industrial capability and lead the industrialisation of aerospace structure and detail parts supply chain.
  • Coordinate activities within the perimeter and cascade information to key stakeholders both internally and externally via established reporting means.
  • Work on non‑quality issues in the Airbus Aero structure and detail parts supply chain.
  • Drive process improvement, technology dissemination and industrial innovation projects at suppliers.
  • Use manufacturing expertise to improve quality and support the capability of our suppliers.
  • Act as manufacturing industrial authority for development projects with a focus on code sign philosophy.
  • Analyze industrial capability of potential suppliers.
  • Contribute to the Transfer of Work project team within the supplier network.
  • Organise industrial kick‑off meetings with suppliers.
  • Lead Supplier Industrial Reviews until Industrial Coordination Handover.
  • Participate in root‑cause analysis of technical abnormalities with Procurement Operations to determine if the issue is caused by manufacturing capability.
  • Contribute to design‑to‑manufacture in Design Reviews to support industrialisation.
Qualifications
  • Technical background in manufacturing engineering with experience in metallic or composite detail part manufacture.
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods and the ability to assess design drawings for detailed manufacture with a focus on manufacturability.
  • Good understanding of tolerances and drawing dimensioning with machineability in mind.
  • Working knowledge of CATIA.
  • Preferable aerospace experience or background.
  • Degree level in Engineering or equivalent.
