Additive Manufacturing Engineer – Bristol, SNBG 7–10
We are seeking a highly motivated and team‑oriented Manufacturing Engineer to work in our state‑of‑the‑art Additive Manufacturing Facility in Bristol.
Responsibilities- Develop manufacturing methods and technology for new part introduction, meeting quality, cost, and timing targets.
- Continuous improvement: eliminate waste, reduce process variation, improve capability, and lower product cost.
- Drive strategic growth by identifying and developing future technologies, ensuring seamless production implementation.
- Own the technical package including product verification, change control, and operational support.
- Support a range of disciplines within the Pre‑Production facility, focusing on cost and quality requirements in early stages.
- Validate and verify new manufacturing methods to mature additive manufacturing of aero components to TRL
8. - Interact with and manage relationships across design teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, influencing customer requirements.
- Prepare builds, operate additive machines, and perform post‑processing of parts.
- Influence facility and machine layout, adapting to machine platform changes.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical experience in a manufacturing production environment, including continuous improvement, new product introduction, capability acquisition, process engineering, automation, or metrology.
- Experience delivering successful projects in cross‑functional teams (Operations, Planning, Design Engineering).
- Experience working in an additive manufacturing environment.
- Experience defining technical requirements and controls in an additive facility.
- Experience with component validation and quality procedures.
- Minimum Security Check (SC) clearance required without caveats.
- Rolls‑Royce will support the application for clearance if not already held.
