Land Systems Safety Engineer - SC cleared

Our client, a leading organisation within the Defence sector, is seeking a highly skilled Land Systems Safety Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects supporting frontline capabilities, with flexible hybrid working arrangements., In this role, you will support the delivery of Acquisition Safety policies and solutions, ensuring the safety, suitability, and compliance of equipment and systems used by front-line personnel.

You will be part of a collaborative safety engineering team within the Land Domain, contributing to the development and management of Safety Management Systems and hazard analysis processes.,

• Develop and maintain policies and processes aligned with DE&S standards for Acquisition Safety.
• Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure compliance with UK, EU, and MOD regulations.
• Support the development of Safety Management Systems, identifying hazards and advising on risk reduction measures.
• Specify safety-related systems architectures, ensuring they meet high safety integrity levels.
• Manage safety contractual aspects and oversee safety activities performed by contractors.
• Provide safety advice to decision-makers through Project Safety Panels.
  Experience with ASEMS and System Safety Management Tools & Processes.
• Practitioner or equivalent status in System Safety, with professional registration (e.g., Eng Tech, IEng, CEng).
• Member of a relevant Professional Safety Institute or an equivalent body.
• Minimum SC security clearance is required.
• Level 4 NQF in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience providing technical safety advice and delivering safety products/services.
  Up to £420 per day (Inside IR35)
