We are currently recruiting for a Configuration Engineer to support a major nuclear power project, based in Bristol with a hybrid working pattern. This role is suited to candidates with strong configuration management experience who can ensure alignment between design and construction while maintaining compliance with UK nuclear regulations. Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact for configuration management processes.
  • Coordinate configuration activities across multiple stakeholders and support design handovers.
  • Ensure compliance with configuration management processes throughout the project.
  • Support management of design changes, open points, and technical interfaces.
  • Monitor and steer end-to-end configuration activities across the lifecycle.
  • Analyse technical data and maintain accurate configuration records and systems.
  • Develop and maintain data-driven approaches for configuration control.
  • Identify opportunities for process, system, and procedural improvements.
Must-have Requirements
  • Engineering or technical background with the ability to analyse technical documents.
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles.
  • Understanding of engineering requirements, quality processes, and CDM regulations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
  • Nuclear industry experience, including familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions.
  • Ability to track progress, manage priorities, and elevate issues effectively.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Knowledge of EPR technology or nuclear power plant design.
  • Experience implementing and improving processes within a regulated environment.
  • Awareness of budget and schedule constraints in complex projects.
