You will be instrumental in maintaining a highly organised and efficient team structure, ensuring an effective balance of experience and seniority across the Bristol office. Working closely with senior leadership, you will support the continued development of the team, strengthen client relationships, and help deliver the business plan for Building Surveying in the South West. Alongside leading a range of professional and project-led Building Surveying instructions, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the team, mentor colleagues, support business development initiatives, and play a significant role in the ongoing success and growth of the Bristol office.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver a wide range of professional and project-led Building Surveying services. Manage and develop key client relationships across the South West and nationally. Undertake and oversee:
Building surveys Technical due diligence Dilapidations Planned preventative maintenance programmes Contract administration Defect diagnosis Party wall matters Refurbishment and alteration projects Identify and secure new business opportunities. Support fee proposals, tenders and framework submissions. Mentor and develop junior surveyors and graduates. Contribute to the leadership and growth of the Bristol Building Surveying team. Work collaboratively with other disciplines across the business to provide integrated client solutions.
About You We are looking for a commercially aware and client-focused Building Surveyor with strong leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to business development. Essential Requirements MRICS qualified. Significant Building Surveying experience gained within a consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of professional and project work. Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships. Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially minded with a track record of generating work and developing opportunities.
