Job Description & How to Apply Below
Our client is looking for a Gas Turbine Combustor Designer to join their team. If you're passionate about combustion technology and want to work on high performance gas turbine systems, this is for you.

You'll help design, develop, and optimise combustor systems that are efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound from cradle to the grave

What you'll do

* Own combustor design from concept through to production components, assemblies, and hardware

* Build 3D CAD models, drawings, and design documentation

* Work with combustion engineers to hit performance and emissions targets

* Factor in temperature, pressure, cooling, fatigue, vibration, and manufacturability

* Lead technical input at design reviews across the full engineering lifecycle

* Troubleshoot design challenges and deliver practical fixes

* Support prototyping, assembly, and testing then feed results back into design

* Collaborate with thermal, stress, and systems engineering teams

* Work with suppliers/manufacturers to keep designs standards-compliant and production-ready

* Keep documentation aligned with quality, safety, and regulatory standards

What you'll need

* Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar

* Experience designing gas turbine combustors or combustion hardware

* Solid grasp of combustion principles, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical design

* Skilled in 3D CAD (NX, CATIA, Creo, Solid Works, or equivalent)

* Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM)

* Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail

* A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills

Nice to have

* Deep experience with combustion liners, fuel nozzles/systems, or thermal management

* Knowledge of high-temperature materials, coatings, CFD/thermal analysis, or FEA/stress analysis

* Hands-on combustion chamber testing, validation, or manufacturing experience

* Background in aerospace, energy, aviation, or power generation
