Key responsibilities

  • Handle complex assets and systems: parent/child hierarchies, packages, skids, and control panels.
  • Conduct higher-level condition assessments and highlight critical or safety-related issues for escalation.
  • Review and validate survey data for completeness, consistency, and alignment with SAP / CAFM structures.
  • Support SAP / data team with mapping of functional locations, equipment numbers, and class/characteristics.

  • Coach and mentor junior staff on safe working, survey best practice, and data quality expectations.
  • Contribute to weekly progress reporting (asset counts, issues, risks) and client technical sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to site H&S rules, permits, and method statements; contribute to risk assessments.
Required skills & experience
  • HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in industrial plants (paper, FMCG, process, utilities, or heavy industry) in maintenance, projects, reliability, or asset management roles.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering asset surveys, asset tagging projects, or condition assessments at scale.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP PM / EAM or similar asset management systems (functional locations, equipment, classes, characteristics).

  • Ability to lead small teams, allocate work, and monitor productivity.
Nice to have
  • Experience in paper manufacturing, pulp & paper, or similar continuous process industries.
  • Experience in FM/consultancy or external asset survey providers.
