Engineering Geologist - Bristol
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000

An established ground engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an Engineering Geologist to join their growing team in Bristol. This is a varied role suited to an Engineering Geologist with experience across ground investigation and geotechnical projects who is looking to develop their technical and project management skills.
The role will involve a good balance of site and office-based work, supporting projects from initial investigation through to reporting and interpretation.
The Role:
- Planning and undertaking ground investigations, including site supervision and contractor management
- Logging soil and rock in accordance with relevant standards
- Groundwater monitoring and sampling
- Reviewing and interpreting factual ground investigation data
- Producing interpretative and factual ground investigation reports
- Geotechnical risk assessment and ground model development
- Supporting geotechnical design and engineering assessments
- Specification and supervision of intrusive investigations
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other engineering disciplines
- Working across a range of residential, commercial, infrastructure and development projects
Requirements:
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a closely related subject
- Previous experience within ground investigation or engineering geology
- Practical experience of soil and/or rock logging
- Understanding of UK ground conditions and ground investigation techniques
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ideally working towards or interested in achieving Chartered Geologist (CGeol) status
