Your new company An exciting
opportunity has arisen for an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join a
leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering some of the UK's
most complex and high-profile infrastructure and building projects. Working as part
of a collaborative and highly experienced team, you will play a key role in
leading the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions
across a diverse portfolio of projects within sectors such as defence,
transportation, commercial, healthcare, education, and public infrastructure. This position
offers a clear pathway to further leadership responsibilities, technical
excellence, and client-facing project delivery.

Your new role Lead the design and coordination of electrical building services systems, including:

-LV power distribution-Lighting and emergency lighting-Small power systems-Fire alarm systems-Security and access control systems-Earthing and lightning protection-Manage and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.

-Act as a technical authority across projects and design reviews.

-Manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

-Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural professionals.

-Engage with clients and stakeholders, developing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business.

-Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practice.

-Support business development activities including proposal preparation and bid submissions. What you'll need to succeed
-Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

-Significant experience delivering electrical building services design projects within a consultancy environment.

-Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.

-Experience using industry-standard design software such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar.

-Proven ability to manage project delivery and client relationships.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desirable:

-Chartered
Engineer status or working towards chartership.

-Experience
working on large-scale multidisciplinary projects.

-Knowledge of
sustainable and low-carbon design principles.

-Experience
managing and developing engineering teams.
