Are you a highly organised and efficient Financial Controller looking for an exciting new role? Our Bristol dealership is on the lookout for a qualified accountant with automotive experience to join the team. The main purpose of the role will be to provide professional financial advice to the management team.
Responsibilities- To exercise full control over all financial aspects of the business in accordance with Company policy and to ensure that management control is implemented effectively to safeguard the assets of the group
- To co-ordinate and control the accounting and administrative functions relating to the Branch
- To provide timely and accurate management information on financial performance including detailed monthly management accounts to help with current performance and future plans and any other information required by RRG Head Office
- Review Branch management controls, identify problem areas and recommend improvements, then following up their implementation
- To co-ordinate and assist in the production of the yearly Branch budgets and to ensure that it has a strong financial foundation
- To ensure that the Branch operates within Group policies and complies with other statutory financial requirements
- To take ownership of and ensure the integrity of the branch Balance Sheet, Reconciliation, control and correction of key balance sheet accounts.
- Previous experience as a Branch Accountant preferably within the automotive sector
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with not less than 3 years post qualification experience
- Good Knowledge of SAP / EPM
- Previous experience of UK GAAP, financial reporting and analysis, budget preparation and forecasting
- Ability to liaise and work with key Operational Managers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail
- Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break. This is an office-based role.
