What

you will be doing

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Tax team in Bristol. The primary responsibility is to manage a portfolio of clients and oversee more junior staff as necessary. You will provide assistance to Directors/Partners in client work and in the management of the group and will actively participate in special assignments and advisory projects where appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Managing portfolio of businesses including OMBs, SMEs and larger corporates
  • Undertaking corporate tax provisioning, compliance, and advisory work for your portfolio
  • Advising your clients on a variety of business tax matters (e.g. international tax matters, transactions, due diligence work, R&D, Employment tax)
  • Provide exceptional client service and help manage and develop client relationships
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell other services to existing clients
  • Counselling and develop junior staff through delegation and on the job training
  • Conducting appraisals/monitor staff performance including acting as a Line Manager
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) and/or tax advisor (CTA)
  • Significant corporate tax experience gained within the profession and or industry
  • Technically capable tax adviser who is able to assist in complex client work
  • Demonstrable experience of managing people and clients
  • Appetite to develop business development skills to assist with the growth of the business
