Management Accountant

A well-established engineering organisation based in Bristol is seeking a capable Management Accountant to join its finance team and support high-quality financial reporting and decision-making across the business.

This role is well suited to an analytical, detail-driven finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-based environment and partnering with non-finance stakeholders.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in producing accurate and timely management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing meaningful financial insight to operational and commercial teams.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support month-end processes, including payroll
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes, working closely with operational teams to challenge assumptions
• Produce project-level financial reporting, tracking performance, margins, and cost allocations
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support commercial and operational decision-making
• Support bid preparation and work closely with engineering, project, and commercial teams as a finance business partner
• Maintain financial controls, ensure data integrity, and support year-end and audit processes
• Identify and drive improvements in financial reporting, models, systems, and processes

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Experience in a management accounting or analytical finance role
• Background in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or a project-based environment advantageous
• Strong Excel and financial modelling capability
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
