Your new company A large listed business in Bristol is looking for a Financial Accountant to sit in the group reporting team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial reporting across funds and group structures, while supporting a range of technical and project-based work.

This role suits someone who enjoys problem‑solving, improving processes, and turning financial data into meaningful insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounting and reporting, including quarterly reports, management accounts, journals, fees, and variance analysis.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of reported results.
  • Prepare quarterly overhead variance reports.
  • Work closely with Fund and Investment Finance teams to ensure reporting reflects structural changes.
  • Drive month‑end close activities and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Support technical projects.
  • Produce ad‑hoc financial reports and insights for stakeholders.
  • Assist with wider finance team tasks as needed.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong post‑qualified experience.
  • Strong financial reporting experience in a corporate, fast‑paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of joint ventures and complex group structures.
  • Excellent Excel and IT skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.).
  • Continuous improvement mindset, focused on driving efficiency.
  • Self‑starter with strong initiative, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships across all levels.
  • Highly organised, accurate, and capable of balancing multiple priorities.
