Regional Financial Controller – Permanent / Hybrid – High Growth International Company
A large, fast‑growing international group operating across multiple locations is looking to appoint an experienced Regional Financial Controller. You’ll join a complex, dynamic organisation undergoing significant transformation, playing a key leadership role within a high‑performing finance function.
Your new roleAs Regional Financial Controller, you will take ownership of all financial accounting, control, audit, and compliance activity across the region. Working closely with an offshore Shared Services Centre and central group teams, your responsibilities include:
- Lead balance sheet governance, month‑end integrity, and continuous improvement of financial controls.
- Drive working capital reporting and forecasting, providing clear insight to senior finance leaders.
- Manage the relationship with offshore teams, ensuring service quality and effective issue resolution.
- Oversee statutory accounts, external audit delivery, and financial policy compliance.
- Support group‑wide initiatives including fixed asset programmes, lease accounting improvements, and system/process enhancements.
- Act as a key escalation point for operational finance queries and collaborate widely across finance, shared services, and operational stakeholders.
This is a hands‑on role requiring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
What you’ll need to succeed- Experience as a Financial Controller (or Assistant FC) in a complex, multi‑site environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP & IFRS and experience in high‑volume, multi‑entity operations.
- Comfortable operating in a global, matrixed structure with outsourced/shared‑service partners.
- Proven ability to drive process improvement, strengthen controls and deliver through others.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working at pace in a changing environment.
• A base salary of £90,000 – £95,000
