We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fin Ops Associate to support our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the delivery of timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records through timely and accurate data entry across all financial systems.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in preparing and processing payroll, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
- Supplier Payments: Manage supplier payment runs, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
- Management Accounts: Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Statutory Accounts: Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- VAT Submissions: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements and deadlines.
- Xero Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations in Xero, including bank accounts, supplier statements, and other control accounts.
- Tax Compliance: Support general tax compliance including preparation of P11
Ds and other statutory filings.
- Detail-oriented and eager to learn within a finance environment.
- Organised and able to manage tasks accurately and on time.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Interested in developing a long-term career in finance and accounting.
- Proactive, reliable, and willing to take initiative when supporting the finance team.
