Management Accountant

Management Accountant North Bristol, 12 month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity cover) Hybrid working (minimum 1 day per week from home, with flexibility for 2 days) £45,000 - £55,000 An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established manufacturing business on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This role offers exposure to operational finance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and would suit an accomplished management accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, analysing performance, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Produce monthly management accounts and support month and year-end close processes Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities Provide detailed cost and variance analysis, investigating root causes and supporting corrective actions Partner with site leadership to improve financial and operational performance Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies and procedures Assist with audit requirements and reporting obligations Deliver accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making Contribute to process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function About You Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role Manufacturing experience is essential Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights
