Tax Manager – Bristol (hybrid working)

FO & PC Tax Manager in the Family Office & Private Client team based in Bristol.

The Team

Our national practice count 159 team members across the UK, led by 11 Partners and 16 Directors.

What will you be doing?

This is primarily an advisory role. You will work with high net worth individuals and their family offices, offering personal tax guidance on UK and international matters, and support entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder‑owned companies.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high‑quality personal tax service to clients.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of complex clients, providing advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax matters and identifying opportunities for clients.
  • Use original and creative thinking to solve tax problems, often delivering bespoke tax solutions to one‑off assignments.
  • Project‑manage tax advisory assignments, ensuring deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are met.
  • Manage work in progress and ensure prompt billing and cash collection.
  • Oversee the performance and career development of part‑time and newly qualified staff.
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant or tax adviser (ATT, CTA, ACA/ACCA) with experience in a personal tax focused environment.
  • Strong academic record and keen understanding of issues facing private clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver bespoke tax solutions and appreciate client needs.
  • Strong teamwork and independent initiative.
  • Commitment to clients, colleagues and KPMG.
  • High analytical skill and commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice.
