We're supporting a well‑known multi‑site business seeking an Interim Commercial Finance Manager to provide commercial insight that directly influences trading performance and strategic decision‑making. Initially offered on an interim basis, there is a strong possibility for a longer‑term permanent role.

This isn't a role focused on producing reports. It's about partnering with the business, challenging assumptions and helping leaders make better commercial decisions through high‑quality analysis and financial insight.

Working closely with senior operational and commercial stakeholders, you'll provide the financial support needed to optimise profitability across the estate.

• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior commercial and operational leaders.
• Deliver and review monthly commercial KPI reporting, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and recommendations to improve profitability.
• Analyse sales performance, product mix, pricing, volume, margin and promotional activity to support commercial decision‑making.
• Develop and review customer, product and category profitability models, ensuring a clear understanding of the commercial drivers behind performance.
• Produce scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support investment decisions, pricing strategies and new commercial initiatives.
• Provide analytical rigour around revenue, gross margin and business performance, turning complex data into practical recommendations.
• Challenge assumptions with professional scepticism, ensuring decisions are based on robust financial evidence rather than intuition.
• Work collaboratively across Finance, Operations and other business functions to ensure commercial decisions are fully evaluated and aligned.

You'll be a Commercial Finance professional who enjoys operating close to the business rather than behind the numbers.

• Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering experience within a multi‑site retail, hospitality or consumer‑facing business.
• Strong experience of pricing, sales analysis, gross margin, profitability and volume/price/mix analysis.
• Excellent commercial judgement and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
