Trust Tax Manager or Corporate Tax Manager | Cheltenham | £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications

The roles are based in the Cheltenham office but may require occasional travel to other offices. The roles are full‑time, though applicants wishing to work five days a week on shorter hours (e.g., 9am to 3pm) may be considered.

Keyresponsibilities for the Trust Tax Manager Tax Advisory & Compliance
- Provide high‑level tax advisory services and tax planning.
- Oversee the preparation and review of trust and estate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm and its clients are informed of relevant developments.
- Lead the firm’s trust and estate tax services, providing specialist advice to individuals and families.
- Assist clients with trust structuring, inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with trust tax regulations, including the preparation and review of trust tax returns.
- Build relationships with solicitors and wealth managers to develop the firm’s trust and estate services.
- Provide high‑level tax advisory services, including corporate, personal and business tax planning.
- Advise clients on tax‑efficient structures, mergers and acquisitions, share option schemes, growth shares, EIS/SEIS, remuneration planning, inheritance tax planning, family investment companies and international tax matters.
- Oversee preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm and its clients are informed of relevant developments.
The individual must have appropriate qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA.
Essential qualities (Corporate Tax Manager)- High level of tax technical knowledge and experience.
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, work under own steam and show a high level of initiative.
- Experience of taxation for trusts and estates.
- High level of tax technical knowledge and experience.
This position will require some travelling between offices and to clients; therefore a driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are required.
