The Role Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations , you'll act as a trusted Finance Business Partner, supporting teams across the charity with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting. You'll help turn financial information into meaningful insight, enabling better decision-making across the organisation. This is a broad and varied role , combining month-end accounting responsibilities with commercial finance, business partnering and continuous improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop their career.

Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Finance & Operations to lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with teams across the charity to build robust financial plans. Working closely with the Data Insights Manager, provide clear financial analysis to guide decision-making, including assessing the profitability of fundraising activities Support the Director of Finance & Operations and the Data Insights Manager to maintain and update the financial model for our lottery income Support colleagues across the organisation with business cases and investment appraisals for new initiatives, including financial planning support for major appeals Serve as the main point of contact for non-finance teams, helping them navigate financial queries and manage their budgets.

Identify opportunities to maximise income, improve value/efficiency and increase the impact of charitable expenditure. Proactively look for ways to improve cross-team collaboration and streamline financial processes across the charity. Lead on making management information accessible, straightforward, and genuinely useful for decision-makers. Support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly management accounts and budget holder reports, including identifying any opportunities or risks against plan.

Take ownership of external financial reporting, ensuring all submissions, including those to the Gambling Commission, are accurate and on time Help draft papers and present updates on financial performance and insights to management and relevant committees when required Work with operational and fundraising colleagues to develop reporting which links financial performance to charitable impact and outcomes Support evaluation of charitable funding to help demonstrate value delivered to patients, staff and hospitals.

Support the Director of Finance & Operations and Financial Controller with ad-hoc project work, while actively contributing to continuous improvement across our processes to ensure we deliver a high-performing finance service. About You Qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent) Previous experience in a finance role with exposure to month-end reporting and management accounts Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data Confident communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders An analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement Well organised, collaborative and keen to develop your commercial finance and business partnering skills Sa lary & Benefits Salary up to £45,000 plus study support package for CIMA/ACCA Hybrid working - two days per week in the Bristol office (White friars, Lewins Mead), with the remainder working remotely 27 days annual leave plus an additional 3 days over Christmas, birthday day and wellbeing day Full-time (35 hours per…
