Finance Manager

I'm delighted to be supporting a growing group business in Birmingham with the recruitment of a Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a broad role with real ownership and influence. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team, overseeing day-to-day finance operations while driving improvements across controls, reporting and commercial support.

Key Responsibilities:

Full ownership of the balance sheet and management accounts across multiple entities Integrating acquired companies into finance processes and reporting structures Sign-off responsibility for VAT returns, bank reconciliations, payroll and inter-company reconciliations Ownership of the budgets, Day 1 forecasts, cashflow, treasury and banking arrangements FX management and scheduled tax payments, acting as liaison with HMRC Stock reporting and interaction with commercial teams to support trading decisions Oversight of property matters including lease and utility contract renewals Maintaining a strong controls environment and driving process improvements Developing and managing the finance team, ensuring continuous growth and performance

About You:

A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualified experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role Strong technical skills across management accounts, controls, tax and treasury Comfortable operating in a dynamic, multi-entity environment with acquisitions and integrations Excellent communication skills with the ability to business partner across commercial and operational teams Proven experience managing and developing a team This role will suit a hands-on Finance Manager who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and wants to make a tangible impact in a growing business.
