Finance Manager

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join an entrepreneurial SME business who have recently received significant investment based in central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive: £50,000 - £55,000 plus bonus, hybrid working and private medical cover amongst wider benefits package Roles and responsibilities include:
Own day-to-day finance operations including supplier invoices, customer invoicing, expenses, credit cards, bank reconciliations and payment runs Own month-end close and deliver monthly management accounts by working day 5 Produce clear reporting for the CEO including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, budget vs actuals, debtors, creditors and commentary Maintain cashflow and budget models and improve financial visibility across the business Cash, working capital & performance insight Maintain visibility of cash position, runway, debtor risk and supplier obligations Support better decision-making through accurate, timely financial insight and KPI reporting Over time, improve reporting of inventory, WIP and product costing Coordinate VAT, annual accounts, R&D tax credits, grants, PAYE checks, insurance and Companies House requirements with external advisors Improve finance processes, reduce manual work and increase automation where possible

Person specification:

Fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA) Experience owning month-end and producing management accounts Strong understanding of core accounting (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations) Strong Excel and finance systems capability Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-moving SME environment Strong attention to detail, accuracy and financial discipline £50,000 - £55,000 plus bonus, hybrid working and private medical cover amongst wider benefits package Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
