Based in Birmingham with hybrid working available, you'll be joining a well-established and collaborative organisation where your experience and input will genuinely make a difference. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will take ownership of the senior, end-to-end credit control function, proactively managing client accounts and driving timely cash collection. You will build strong relationships with clients and senior internal stakeholders, take the lead on aged debt, identify and remove payment barriers, resolve invoice queries and disputes, allocate cash and reconcile accounts.
You will also lead regular cash collection and aged debt reviews, produce insightful management information, assess credit risk and confidently escalate challenging or high-risk debt to senior business leaders and the CFO where required. The role will also provide the opportunity to identify and implement improvements across credit control processes, systems and ways of working. Ideally you will have:
Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, ideally within a professional services environment. Strong experience taking ownership of end-to-end credit control, including aged debt, cash collection, credit risk, account reconciliations and dispute resolution. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and work effectively with senior stakeholders and client contacts. Strong organisational and analytical skills, with advanced Excel capability and experience using finance or ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar.
