The Role
Working closely with Engineering, Operations and Senior Finance leaders, you will lead the planning, forecasting and governance of capital expenditure across a significant UK asset base.
You'll provide financial insight and challenge on major investment decisions, support long-term asset lifecycle planning, and ensure capital projects deliver maximum operational and commercial value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual capex budgeting and forecasting process
- Develop and maintain long-term asset lifecycle investment plans
- Partner with engineering and operational teams on investment decisions
- Build and review business cases for major capital projects
- Perform investment appraisals including NPV, IRR and payback analysis
- Monitor project performance and benefits realisation
- Prepare reporting and recommendations for senior leadership and board review
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, planning and reporting processes
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong Finance Business Partnering experience
- Experience managing capital expenditure budgets and forecasts
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Confident presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, energy, utilities, infrastructure or another capital-intensive environment would be advantageous
