A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager to take full ownership of a varied portfolio of high net worth individuals, trusts and estates.

Bristol's private client market is one of the most active outside London, and the firm's portfolio reflects that depth, spanning a broad range of complexity. The tax team is well established and collegiate, with a clear pathway to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the Bristol private client space well.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNW individuals, trusts and estates
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Reviewing self assessment tax returns and overseeing the compliance process
• Acting as a key point of contact and building trusted client relationships
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team
• Liaising with HMRC on client matters including enquiries and investigations

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of HNW private clients
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
• Confident client facing manner, organised and able to manage competing deadlines
