Newly or recently CTA qualified and considering your first move into industry?

We're recruiting a Corporate Tax Manager to join a Bristol-based business at an exciting stage in its journey. As the business develops its independent operations and builds its in-house tax capabilities, you'll have the opportunity to help shape processes, support commercial decisions and broaden your experience beyond compliance.

With structured career progression, this is an opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills while taking on increasing responsibility.

The role

Working closely with senior tax leadership, the wider finance team and external advisers, your responsibilities will include:

  • UK corporate tax compliance: Manage and support the preparation, review and timely filing of tax returns, payments and disclosures, ensuring accurate calculations and supporting documentation.

  • Tax accounting and reporting: Support quarterly and annual tax provisions, reconciliations and disclosures, alongside tax forecasting, effective tax rate analysis and cash tax planning.

  • Planning and business support: Support transactions, entity structuring, intercompany arrangements and growth initiatives.

  • Controls and process improvement: Help develop robust tax controls, governance and reporting processes as the business builds its standalone capabilities.

  • Audit and risk management: Support tax audits and enquiries, coordinate responses with external advisers and identify and escalation tax risks.

  • Stakeholder partnership: Translate technical tax matters into clear, practical guidance for colleagues across Finance, Legal, Treasury and the wider business.

About you

You'll be newly or recently CTA qualified, with a strong grounding in UK corporate tax, potentially gained in practice. You'll combine technical accuracy with clear communication, a commercial outlook and the confidence to build relationships across the business.

Why join now?

Joining at this stage offers the chance to contribute to how the tax function develops and see the impact of your work across the business. You'll gain exposure to compliance, reporting, planning and transformation, with structured progression to support your longer-term career.
