Senior Management Accountant

Your new company
You will be joining a large, international organisation with a significant presence in Bristol, operating within a complex, fast-paced and commercially focused environment.

Your new role
As Senior Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a broad portfolio of management accounting and business partnering responsibilities across the central functions. The role will include:

Leading the month-end close and management reporting process for your portfolio.
Producing insightful monthly reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders, including VPs and Directors.
Acting as a Finance Business Partner, providing financial insight, challenge and support to senior functional leaders.
Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning for your areas.
Analysing performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
Taking ownership of balance sheet controls, reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
Supporting and challenging budget holders to improve financial performance and cost management.
Providing financial oversight of capital expenditure projects and investment analysis.
Supporting intercompany accounting, cost allocations, transfer pricing and tax reporting requirements.
Working closely with Finance, HR, Tax, Treasury and Shared Services teams.
Providing technical accounting support and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
Leading continuous improvement projects and helping develop more effective finance processes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong management accounting background and the confidence to operate within a complex international organisation.
You will ideally have:

A number of years' experience in a management accounting or a similar finance role.
Strong month-end, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
Excellent financial control and technical accounting knowledge.
Proven business partnering and stakeholder management experience.
The ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong analytical and commercial skills.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
