You will be joining a large, international organisation with a significant presence in Bristol, operating within a complex, fast-paced and commercially focused environment.
As Senior Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a broad portfolio of management accounting and business partnering responsibilities across the central functions. The role will include:
- Leading the month-end close and management reporting process for your portfolio.
- Producing insightful monthly reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders, including VPs and Directors.
- Acting as a Finance Business Partner, providing financial insight, challenge and support to senior functional leaders.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning for your areas.
- Analysing performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Taking ownership of balance sheet controls, reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Supporting and challenging budget holders to improve financial performance and cost management.
- Providing financial oversight of capital expenditure projects and investment analysis.
- Supporting intercompany accounting, cost allocations, transfer pricing and tax reporting requirements.
- Working closely with Finance, HR, Tax, Treasury and Shared Services teams.
- Providing technical accounting support and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.
- Leading continuous improvement projects and helping develop more effective finance processes.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a strong management accounting background and the confidence to operate within a complex international organisation.
You will ideally have:
- A number of years' experience in a management accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong month-end, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Excellent financial control and technical accounting knowledge.
- Proven business partnering and stakeholder management experience.
- The ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
This is an opportunity to step into a high-profile finance role within a major international business, offering considerably more than traditional management accounting.
You'll gain exposure to senior decision-makers, take ownership of a significant cost base and combine financial reporting with commercial partnering, forecasting, technical accounting and project work. In addition, the role offers hybrid working, good benefits and a yearly bonus.
