Boeing United Kingdom Limited We are currently seeking an experienced Trade Control Specialist to join our dynamic and experienced Global Trade Control (GTC) team, focused on defence operations in the UK - but part of a larger group covering Europe.

The candidate will support Boeing UK programmes by applying UK and US export control regulations to day-to-day programme activities. The role requires a solid understanding of UK export controls (the UK Consolidated Strategic Export Control List, license determinations and submissions, End user undertakings, F680s, F1686 etc ) and familiarity with US ITAR/EAR frameworks, enabling compliant programme execution while supporting operational delivery.

The position operates within a collaborative GTC team environment working closely with programmes, security and compliance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Analyse and interpret UK export control regulations and US ITAR/EAR requirements supporting their practical application across defence programmes and operational activities. Support the implementation and maintenance of trade control processes and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with UK and US regulations. Work closely with programme teams to identify export control requirements, plan trade control lead times into programme schedules and ensure that programme activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory obligations.

Assist in the preparation, management and monitoring of UK export license applications and related approvals, including coordination with security and any relevant UK authorities. Collaborate with US GTC counterparts to ensure alignment with US regulatory obligations and corporate compliance expectations. Support the monitoring, interpretation and communication of regulatory changes that may impact programme execution, ensuring business teams understand the operational implications.

Contribute to internal and external compliance reviews and Regulatory audits, supporting corrective actions and tracking closure of any identified issues. Assess compliance risk within programme activities and assist in identifying mitigation actions and process improvements. Support the development of training materials and regulatory awareness initiatives to promote a strong trade compliance culture within the business. We are looking for someone who:
Has practical experience working with UK export control regulations and familiarity with the US ITAR/EAR. Demonstrates strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements. Can translate regulatory obligations into practical operational guidance for programme instructions. Works effectively within a collaborative team environment and builds strong working relationships with stakeholders. Ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including Senior leaders and Directors Shows initiative, curiosity and an interest in developing deeper expertise in trade compliance and motivated and disciplined in ongoing learning and self-development Is organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic programme environment Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working in export controls, trade compliance, customs or a comparable regulatory environment. Working knowledge of UK export control regulations and licensing frameworks (ECJU) with familiarity with US ITAR and EAR requirements. Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical operational guidance. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain regulatory requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous experience working with defence or aerospace sector. Practical experience supporting export license application, compliance reviews or regulatory audits. Familiarity with customs procedures relevant to defence programs, such as Inward Processing. Experience working in international or cross-regional teams, particularly with US stakeholders. Exposure to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or DCS frameworks. Experience delivering regulatory training or awareness sessions to business stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience to identify compliance risks and support mitigating actions. Language Requirements:
