NRPF Triage and Homelessness Officer

Part Time, - 18.5hrs per week, Fixed Term - 12 months The local authority has a statutory duty to ensure the safety of children who are destitute and at risk of street homelessness. The No recourse to public funds team assess families and provide emergency accommodation if needed for people with uncertain immigration status.

The No Recourse to Public Funds Team are a team of social workers and support staff to undertake assessments.

The Triage and Homelessness officer is an 18.5 hours a week part time position which will provide the initial assessment for families in need including gathering evidence of homelessness and destitution.

The role will also work closely with Homelessness Prevention professionals.

You will need to demonstrate good communications skills to undertake effective assessments and ability to understand and apply changes in legislation and procedures.

Please note this role is office based and not open to hybrid working.
