Duties for the role of Associate Town Planner include:

Develop and implement planning strategies and policies to projects across the UK
Manage planning applications and appeals inline with local policies and legislations
Carry out site visits, feasibility studies, and impact assessments
Liaise with local communities, businesses and government agencies to build and maintain strong working relationships

Skills and experience for the role of Associate Town Planner:

Relevant degree within town planning
RTPI accredited or working towards chartership
Significant post qualification experience in a Planning role within a local government or consultancy
Working knowledge of the planning process and systems
Previous experience mentoring junior members of staff
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and organisational skills
