About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prison Cleared Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD to join a specialist Mental Health Needs Lead (MHNL) service within a custodial setting in Northamptonshire. This ongoing locum role offers excellent flexibility with both full-time and part-time options, alongside a competitive hourly rate of £26.00.

You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health care to individuals within the prison system, working closely with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining safety, professionalism, and therapeutic integrity in a secure environment.

What you will do
  • Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments and formulation of care plans.
  • Co‑produce, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans alongside service users and the MDT.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions and ongoing mental health support within the prison setting.
  • Monitor mental state, medication adherence, and effectiveness of treatment plans.
