Domiciliary Carer

At Citywide care agency we are looking for someone who can provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, privacy, and overall wellbeing.

Note:

This is a door to door job, so please only apply if you are willing to do this. Key responsibilities and duties will include:
Assist clients with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment (where trained). Prompt, assist, or administer medication in line with care plans and company policies. Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required. Encourage and monitor adequate nutrition and hydration. Carry out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen.

Support clients with shopping, collecting prescriptions, and attending appointments. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation. Encourage independence and participation in daily living activities. Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental health to the appropriate person. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation. Follow safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect.

Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times. Maintain confidentiality and respect clients’ privacy and dignity. Attend training sessions and team meetings as required. Be able to work during nights, if needed. Essential:
Candidate must live in Bristol and has good knowledge of the area Caring, compassionate, and patient nature Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Reliable and trustworthy Willingness to undertake DBS checks Desirable:
Previous experience in a care setting Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
