Permanent, Full Time (3640 hours per week) Salary : £12.88 per hour Join Heart of England Mencap and help people with learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives where they can thrive and reach their full potential. We're looking for caring, enthusiastic and committed Support Workers to join our teams in Leamington Spa. We currently have opportunities available within our Complex Needs Day Service and our Short Breaks (Respite) Service.
While each service offers a different working environment and shift pattern, both provide rewarding opportunities to support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. About the Opportunities Complex Needs Day Service Our Day Service supports adults with complex learning disabilities both within our centre and out in the community. Customers enjoy activities such as swimming, accessible cycling, gym sessions, music, cooking, art, sensory storytelling and farm-based activities. Support is provided on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis and may include personal care, eating and drinking support, postural care and promoting independence through meaningful activities.
Typical hours:
Monday to Friday 9:00am4:00pm (four days) 9:00am5:00pm (one day) Occasional longer days and Saturday working may be available. Short Breaks Service Our Short Breaks Service provides a welcoming home-from-home environment where customers stay from one night to two weeks, helping them build confidence, independence and life skills. You'll support customers with daily living, personal care, medication, meal preparation and community activities including gardening, sports, shopping, cafés, cinema visits and much more.

Caring, compassionate and reliable Passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities Keen to learn and develop Previous care or relevant support experience A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
