Are you an experienced Forensic Psychologist looking for a senior role where your expertise can genuinely make a difference? Join the Psychological Services team at Ashfield , where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, while helping to shape and develop psychological services across the prison. This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise, influence positive change and contribute to the rehabilitation of individuals with complex needs.
What will you be doing? As a Senior Forensic Psychologist, you will:
Deliver high-quality psychological assessments, formulations and evidence-based interventions. Complete forensic risk assessments and provide expert psychological advice. Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, including MAPPA and Offender Personality Disorder pathway discussions. Provide supervision, mentoring and professional guidance to Forensic Psychologists, FPiTs and colleagues. Act as a professional witness at parole boards and within multi-agency settings. Support research, data collection and the ongoing development of Psychological Services.
Work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals to promote a strong rehabilitative culture. Help drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards across the service. What are we looking for? You’ll need: HCPC registration as a Chartered Psychologist. Full membership of the BPS Forensic Psychology Division. Experience working with individuals with complex needs within forensic, custodial or related settings. Strong assessment, formulation and risk assessment experience.
Experience providing supervision, mentoring or professional guidance. A collaborative and supportive approach, with the confidence to influence and advise across multidisciplinary teams.
