Female Healthcare Assistant Support Worker - Bristol

Shifts/working hours:
Term time - 4pm until 10pm & 10pm - 8am

School Holidays - 12 hour days and nights

Pay rates: from £14.86 - £17.10 hour (including holiday pay)

We support people living with a wide range of complex conditions, helping them stay safe, independent and connected to their communities. Our healthcare assistants/support workers deliver highly bespoke care shaped around the individual needs, goals and aspirations.

As a healthcare assistant/support worker, you will be providing high quality, person-centered care to our clients in the comfort of their own home. On shift, you will be expected to provide personal care, assist with moving and handling and support with any clinical interventions specific to our client. Alongside, you will be expected to enrich their quality of life via community interaction and support in achieving their goals/aspirations.

About the role

In this role, you will be supporting our 19-year-old female client within her family home, who is living with a complex genetic condition, learning difficulties and requires the use of a wheelchair. On shift you will be providing personal care, administering medications and managing our clients' clinical interventions that include PEG feeds (all training will be provided)

We are looking for team members who will enrich her life through the encouragement of being out in the community, socialisation at school and supporting her education.

Role Requirements

  • 6 months care experience within the 2 years (UK based)
  • Have experience with personal care, medication and manual handling
  • Comfortable working in a 1:1 setting
  • Willing to learn new skills and undertake complex care training
  • Ability to provide high-quality care with compassion and professionalism
