Hourly Rate: £30 - £31
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 17:15

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinical pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care within a busy hospital environment, supporting the pharmacy service during a period of maternity leave cover.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medicines management, support safe prescribing practices, and contribute to the delivery of patient-centred care across a range of clinical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and departments.
  • Review prescriptions and deliver expert advice on medicines optimisation.
  • Support the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines.
  • Undertake medicines reconciliation and contribute to discharge planning processes.
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical audits, service improvement initiatives, and governance activities.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with professional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Have previous hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Be confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Have experience delivering patient‑focused clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting.
