Personal Care Assistant for a senior lady P/T@ £20.00/hr in Bristol

Reference: 9121b77c I am looking for a flexible caring indivdual to provide support for my 92 year old mother with assistance with mobility, and checking that she is managing her general day to day.

Duties may include:
1)
General housekeeping duties eg changing the bed or doing the laundry.
2)
Shopping if needed.
3)
Potential assistance to go to the doctors (this is within walking distance) and she has a wheelchair.
4)
Possible trips to the coffee shop if she feels up to it.
5) Assistance with showering and after care (creams) if needed.

My mother is extremely bright mentally, but unfortunately has an extremely painful hip limiting her mobillity (which due to her age and coexisting medical conditions) in non operable, and because of this she is not able to carry out her activities of daily living.

This lack of mobility has led to lower leg swelling due to lymph oedema, so her mobility and management of this is really paramount.

My mother is also visually impaired and her hearing is limited.

I feel it is time she has some quality extra support that we cannot currently provide as both myself and my partner live too far away, we have work commitments and my partner has an unwell mother to look after.

My mother lives in warden assisted living but her needs physicallly are not catered for at this residence.
