Knowle, Bristol (BS4) Driving License:
Full UK driving license with confidence driving service vehicles (Essential). Pay Rate: £14.43 per hour
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday (Typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Job Type: Full-time / Temporary (Ongoing placement potential) About the Role Are you energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping individuals with learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives? We are seeking reliable Support Workers to join a vibrant Day Opportunities service based in Knowle, Bristol. Unlike a traditional residential setting, this dynamic role focuses on community inclusion—getting out and about, transporting service users to various activities, and helping them make the most of every day.
If you enjoy a varied schedule where no two days are the same, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Consistent weekday shifts are available, with strong potential for an ongoing placement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Accompanying and supporting individuals with learning disabilities in a day service setting and out in the community. Safely collecting, transporting, and driving service users to activities, appointments, and events using service vehicles. Promoting independence, choice, and active community inclusion. Assisting with personal care, medication administration, and safe moving & handling where required. Building strong, positive relationships with service users to help them have meaningful and enjoyable days.
Working independently and adapting to dynamic, daily routine changes. Essential Requirements
Experience:
Background in supporting people with learning disabilities. Core
Skills:
Hands-on experience with personal care, medication administration, and moving & handling procedures. Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Mindset:
