Description

Our People team plays a crucial role in supporting the firm’s performance, ensuring colleagues have a consistent, well‑managed, and positive experience across all people processes.

We are looking for a People Assistant to join our established People Support team. This is a key entry‑level role within a collaborative shared service environment, providing high-quality administrative and customer‑focused support across the firm. As the first point of contact for many People queries, you will play an important role in shaping the colleague experience.

This role offers a strong foundation for a career in HR, Talent or Learning & Development within a professional services environment. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of People processes, support firm‑wide development activity, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities People Support & Query Management
  • Act as a first point of contact for People queries via email, phone and ticketing systems
  • Provide timely, accurate and customer‑focused responses to colleagues and managers
  • Work collaboratively within the People Support team to manage and resolve queries efficiently
Learning & Development Administration
  • Coordinate administrative support for development events and learning interventions, including:
    • Communications and promotion of learning activities
    • Room booking and set‑up
    • Preparation and distribution of learning materials
    • Managing invitations, reminders and joining instructions
  • Liaise with third‑party providers to support delivery of learning events, including online hosting support
  • Support the evaluation and feedback process for all learning activity
  • Process budgets in line with approved spend
Learning Systems Administration
  • Maintain the learning management system, including:
    • Adding new courses and events
    • Updating attendance records
    • Managing resources and content
  • Manage enquiries through shared inboxes
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve the learner experience
Project & Team Support
  • Provide administrative support to Talent & Development and wider People initiatives, including:
    • Early Talent programmes and events
    • DAC Beachcroft talent initiatives
  • Support general HR administration across the People function as required
Firm-wide Responsibilities
  • Work with an understanding of DAC Beachcroft’s international structure, operating as one firm
  • Act in the best interests of the firm at all times, maintaining professionalism internally and externally
  • Operate effectively in a regulated environment, with a strong focus on confidentiality, risk and data security
  • Build effective working relationships and contribute positively to team and firm objectives
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Core Requirements
  • Previous experience in a People, Recruitment or Learning & Development administration role (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working in a team‑based, service delivery environment
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness and quality
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience using HR, recruitment or learning systems is advantageous
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and proactive approach, with a strong sense of ownership
Development & Qualifications
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable
