As a Principal Cloud Dev Ops Engineer you will be a subject‑matter expert for delivering ingenious solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. Previous GCP expertise is not an essential criterion, but the desire to learn and grow is. Experience with AWS or Azure is essential. You will set direction and take responsibility for successfully achieving outcomes, leading or supporting teams as required.

• You will have expertise in architecture and will lead higher‑level architectural discussions.
• You will own the overall Dev Sec Ops  process across a team or multiple teams, establishing strong principles and robust methods.
• You will regularly engage with the client as a principal point of contact.
• You will coach and mentor the team.
• You will shape proposals, work with a bid team, and present solutions during formal selection processes.
• You will play an active role in technical account management.

To be successful you will need deep experience with the following products:

• Cloud Functions, Cloud Run
• Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine
• VPCs, Service Perimeters
• Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, Big Query, Firestore
• API Endpoints, Apigee, API Gateway
• Vertex AI, Model Garden, ADK and Agent Engine
• Security Command Centre, IAP, IAM

Sound understanding of these architectural principles is required:

• Microservices patterns
• Event‑driven architectures and message queues
• Relational and non‑relational databases
• Development and/or scripting experience (e.g. Python, Node, Bash)
• Focus on security, hardening

We would be thrilled if you also had:

• Knowledge of other cloud platforms
• Automation/Dev Ops experience using Google tech such as Cloud Build and open‑source tools like Terraform

• Pragmatic and understanding that building a platform is only part of cloud engineering.
• Clear communication with clients and peers, explaining technical issues and solutions in written and workshop contexts.
• Capacity to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences at all levels.
• Ability to influence and persuade senior client stakeholders across organisational boundaries without direct authority.
• Confident problem solver and troubleshooter.
